About me

My name is Kyle Hovannesian. I was born and raised here in Victorville. I attended Victor Valley High School and I'm graduating from Yale University in the spring with a bachelor's in Architecture.  My family moved to the United States from the Middle East to Southern California, eventually moving to Victorville in 1986. Since then, we have called this city our home.

Since as long as I can remember, I have always been passionate about trying to make my community better. When I was a student, I came to board meetings to deliver updates about what students were up to at my school. In high school, I gathered enough petition signatures from my peers to create a student board member position, a position that still exists today. I was the first student board member in our school board's history. In university, I continued organizing students to demand changes in our school's governing board to give students a more powerful voice.

My goal in life is to try and change my surroundings for the better. I have always been passionate about learning new things and I have never been afraid of a challenge. Outside of community work, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends and family.
